Marion Gardyne

Biography: Marion Gardyne A textile design graduate from DJCA Dundee, I am a practicing artist member, exhibitor and award winner of The Paisley Art Institute, member of The Glasgow Society of Women Artists and am a judge for the Glasgow Institute of Architects Annual Design Competition. I have a particular interest in architecture and am exhibiting for Doors Open Days 2021 at The Arlington Baths Glasgow with a montage, drawings and collages of Glasgow ‘s iconic doors. As a retired teacher, I have presented workshops for Luminate Scotland at The Gallery of Modern Art and presented CPD workshops for colleagues for Glasgow Museums Education Department and Glasgow Life. I was invited to exhibit in the ‘Lines of Thought’ exhibition at the Lighthouse, celebrating the life of architect, Alexander ‘Greek’ Thomson. I enjoy working in different mediums and like to experiment and combine a variety of materials to produce themed dynamic collage work. I also use photography to make collages highlighting architectural features of iconic buildings.
