Volunteering

We welcome volunteers throughout the year to assist with the hand-in, hanging and take down of pictures in our various art exhibitions.

The work involves mainly light duties, using hand tools and power tools, steps and ladders to hang pictures on our gallery walls.  Our staff team lead the hang in terms of organisation by genre and layout.

Volunteers tend to work in small teams or pairs to assist each other.  We invite volunteers to attend for at least two to three hours or as they prefer.  We break our work days into two shifts, mornings 10am-1pm and afternoons, 1pm-4pm. 

We provide coffee and tea, kettle, microwave and refrigeration in our ground floor kitchen prep area. 

We have an accessible toilet on the ground floor and a lift from ground to first floor.

We have several trollies, cart and bogies for moving quantities of art work around.
