The workshops explore the wit and humour of performance art, being an alternative form of creativity. Mime and Clown examples will also be considered.

Each workshop will analyse a famous example of performance art and practice a re-enactment. The workshops will include introductions to: The origins of Performance Art in the avant garde ideas of the dada surrealist artists. The acting technique of the Nee-Futurists, A Chicago origin Performance group.

Dr Duncan Comrie is an art historian and dramatist.
